Marriage observation #1

Before Ethan and I got married I was very independent, I would happily walk anywhere on my own at pretty much any hour. I remember last year I walked home from the YSA house back to my halls numerous times often at 2 or 3 in the morning (although when I look back I realise that wasn't very sensible, particularly as it was a good 40 minute walk). However since getting married I rarely walk on my own. I'll generally walk with Ethan (more like run, he walks a lot faster than me!) or with my friend Alex to uni who lives on the street right next to us. Then on Sunday Ethan went to go visit someone with the missionaries straight after church which meant I had to walk home on my own which I didn't have an issue with. However once I was out of the building walking past people I started to feel really cautious of the people around me a slightly vulnerable being on my own which was such a strange feeling as I've never really felt like that before particularly at 2pm in complete daylight. The next day I had to meet Ethan near a friend's to drop some cookies off and I found  myself feeling exactly the same. Although this time it was dark as it was 7pm but it was still quite a change from before I was married. At one point I went round a corner and there was someone walking towards me who I hadn't seen and it made me jump so much! Thankfully its really not a big deal, it certainly isn't stopping me from going out on my own, in fact its probably a good thing to be a little more aware of those around you, but it was a curious marriage observation... :)

In other news Ethan and I went to Pizza Hut today and did the Happy Hour thing which was amazing!! We got a margarita pizza, unlimited salad, a side (we went halves on potato wedges and garlic bread) and a refill drink all for £6 each! And for an extra pound Ethan got the ice cream from the ice cream factory too! Bargain! Annnnd we both had 2 slices of pizza left over as we were too full so we have a little snack for later now as well. We will definitely be going back to Pizza Hut soon!

I think this photo is hilarious!
